1.
Great shots again as usual. John F. and Norbert W. Love the lighting in your photos
Lorne.. A relative of your squirrel is making me rethink the location of my bird feeder.

 2.
Notice the trajectory of the ball and how it is now between me and the batter. That's right. It smacked me on the inner right elbow. Saved the camera though

 3.
This is a photo of a routine foul ball......... or is it?

 4.
Great shots again this Wednesday. Lorne, I like the light reflecting on the tracks. Jon, priceless dog photos. Bill Boyd, looks like you are really enjoying the new lens. Great shot.
Yesterday I went to a high school baseball game to practice some sports photography

 5.
Also, with the 150-600mm one is not required to catch BIF at 600mm. You can obviously zoom as needed.

 6.
I purchased the Tamron 150-600mm in December and the more I use it the more I like it. It takes a learning curve with that long a lens. Using a good tripod and ball head is the only way to get tack sharp photos. Handheld is a little tricky with these old wobbly hands. Monopod at the very least. At 600mm it picks up all atmospheric aberrations. Obviously the closer you are, the sharper the photo. I use the D7100 and it focuses very fast. I think for the money you can't go wrong.

 9.
Rick, I'm using the Tamron 150-600mm also on my camera. Takes a little getting used to but, like you say, great value for the money.

I likewise struggle, but I know it is just practice, practice.
last week I was photographing birds in my back yard and trying high iso (5000). When I processed this photo it just about broke my heart. She seems fat and sassy, but with an obvious disability.

 12. Paul, this is beautiful downtown Galt, CA. Yes, it is a train town. Train horn sounds all night long every 15-20 minutes. Get used to it though. Thanks.
