1.
I agree with David that its not a problem for the breed, since I owned A-350 for six months before upgrading to A- 700, as suggested by others the resetting and updation of the firmware if relevant should do the trick. Hopefully as pointed by you earlier ,it seems the re-setting has solved the problem.

 2.
Out here in Toronto , Henry's , Blacks Photography and some small stores carry sony stuff, apart from sony style stores. Henry's do carry most of the models and high end lenses carl zeiss and 300 f2.8 stuff, I bought some stuff from Henry's and Sony Style store, Henry's do have online ebay store which sells used Sony gear traded in for upgrade or people who have switched to either cannon or nikon. Sony Style do accept pre orders for lenses and A-900.

 6.
thanks all, good to know bill its one of the reasons i switched over to 700 for wider iso range and low light pictures, along with some other features which arenot there in a350 which is a good camera in its class/category no doubting that , with a price fall of a 700 and more depreciation of a 350 with a 380 introduced found the offer appealing and worth imho of 2 cents. hoping to learn and expand my knowledge with this new equipment ;-) appreciate all inputs so far
