1.
Hello everyone!

i was able to get credentials to shoot an indy / camping world truck series race coming up at Texas in June. The races will be in the late afternoon, going into the evening and i have a quick doubt: Which one of these 3 lens should i use?
AF VR Zoom-NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED Lens
AF Zoom-NIKKOR 80-200mm f/2.8D ED Lens
70-200 mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor Lens

Im able to order the 80-400 and have it here pretty quick but the other two are out of stock on my online retailer (available credit account) and they won't be here in time.. so i would have to rent either one of the two...
Should i go ahead and buy the 400 with not such great apperture or should i go ahead and rent either one of the two options left?

thanks,

PS: i will be using a d300 with a 17-55 2.8 primarilly and a d80 with the long lens and then swap them when the race starts.

 2.
Hi Yee... I Know Exactly What You're Taking About.

I Shoot With The Nikkor 10.5mm VEry Often Specially Taking Shots Of Hotel Rooms (Small Environments). The Space Is So Tight That If I Really Want To Get The Whole Shot, I Have To Remotely Release The Shutter So That I Won't Be In The Frame.

I Use Nikon's Capture NX 2 As It Has A Built-In Option Of Lenses Correction... It's A Pretty Quick Conversion And Most Of The Times (Depending On The Vertical Angle You Took Your Shots) You Can Actually Make It Look Very Nice With All The Elements In Frame.
You Can Dowload The Software 30 Day Trial Free On Nikonusa.com

Hope It Helps.
3.
Thanks David, I Sure Did Think About Buying The Said "Media Passes" Online, But This Answer Will Keep Me From Spending Unecessary Money.
Hopefully I Will Be Able To Get Some Help From Some Sponsors That Are Heavyweight On Nascar And Get In... Im Really Dreaming About It And Would Love To Get More And More Experience With Motorsports Photography.

If I Do, I Will Post Some Shots.

Thanks Again,

 4.
Hello Everyone, Im An Amateur Photographer Trying To Get Access To The Circle Of Nascar With The Hopes Of Taking This Hobby To A Higher Level And Become A Professional At Some Point Within The Next 3 Years. I've Been Shooting For About 4 Years Now But Find Very Hard To Get Great Shots During Motorsport Events Unless I Can Get Closer To The Action, Specially In Big Tracks.
Does Anyone Here Knows The Process For Requesting And Being Approved For A Media/Photography Credentials For Nascar, Indy, F1, Etc.?

Thank You,
