Thanks Christal for your advice on excluding the right portion. I tried a 5x7 crop taking a bit of the sky out and it is more intimate. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it! Jim 

Yes Christal, they are just trees and no hoodoos. They are Aspen tree trunks with ninebark in the understory. It is the same exact location as the shot "Compliant Aspen" in my landscape photos. I agree with Lynn and yourself about not including the sky in these type of photos. That is good advice!  Thankyou Lynn and Christal.

I like this one better also. Hope this doesn't confuse you. It seems more intimate. Really like the interesting color contrasts of both. The pan is really good in that the lines are all straight and clean.
