I like how the shadows support the form.

I like the portrait very much. One of my favorites at photo.net. The lighting, the tone...
Personally I would probably use a bit longer distance and somewhat longer lens (in order to kee the same framing), but this would be another "degree of presence", therefore another photo.
An excellent portrait, thank you very much!

Your opinions are welcome

Excellent

Emil, excellent picture!
I don't know what keeps me from trying the light painting technique...

Ladies and gentlemen, thanks a lot!
Michael, do not care about rating: it is a childish game.
-
Thank you Jeff. I think slightly off center would be a bit better ;)
-
Cosmin, I suggest to crop the left side to make the image an perfect square
-
Nejat, Jeff, thank you. I'm trying to keep it up.

Yhank you, John. The actual print indeed looks not worse in my opinion. I promise you to see more, but not rapidly: I'm working (and selecting) slowly.

I cannot explain what attracts me, but it does

Thanks Elaine. Yes, may be a little green: the negative is old enough

John, I'd prefer more traditional framing: the shadow effect pops up the picture and, in my humple opinion, it is a bit distracting.
The picture is great!

Recently the photo.net technical team added the possibility to see WHO issued the rating. Now I realise who rated some of my pictures with 1/1 and rated his own with 10/10. Too many competitors in top rating?
Fortunately I don't care about rating: not my problems. Enjoy yourself.
P.S. Eli Mechnikoff and Eric Krasny are good friends if they do exist.

Ginette, good photo. But the Small version is too small and the Medium version is too large, -- very inconvenient for viewing on the screen..
-
Very, very good. Thank you!

I agree with Michael Spinak about cropping. May be even more than 10%. But I like the image very much!
In the right bottom part there is as if an hieroglyph there..
Such a stylish impression made with such restrited means! Thanks!

Good, alive portrait, Reuben. Thank you.

Thanks Niels, trying to remain conservative :)
