1.
Hello all,
I'm looking for an experienced wedding photographer to teach me the ins and outs of wedding photography, as well as the business aspect. This photographer should be local to the NYC area and actively shooting weddings, especially on the weekends. Hopefully you are looking to pass your skills onto the next generation.
A bit about me: My name is Spencer and I'm an upcoming 20 year old photographer (and student). I have a significant background in photojournalism - I spent two years as the staff photographer at my old college paper (ranked Top 10 in US), and more recently covered the NYC mayoral race. Most recently I've been interning as a photographer for the city. My portfolio is available via the links at my bio page.
I am looking to start second shooting or assisting over a long term basis with a seasoned wedding pro that has a good grip on the industry and wants to pass on their knowledge. I am a quick learner, willing to work twice as hard as anyone else, and already have a lot of potential to mold.

Thanks in Advance
2.
Ah, that's a shame. I'm still an amateur but I'm looking to become a second shooter for a few reasons. I'd love to make some great contacts in the industry, learn, and possibly get paid. The only problem is that I'm 16 and still working on my portfolio although I've done events by myself before.
It's probably going to be hard to get professional photgraphers strapped of time to take me onboard but there is hope becuase I have a job lined up taking pictures for a day camp of their kids in action. Any ideas or tips?

P.S. I'm glad to say I know my fair share, not like the guy Ralph hired. I do shoot in manual and know the basics. =)
