Just spotted this and it is absolutely beautiful.

Great colour and depth

I really enjoy the use of black and white on the beach - how about trying to slow the shutter speed slightly to put some movement in ?

This is a great piece of timing - I especially like the way his head is tilted away from the rising ground in a peeking stance. Also,  very much like the out of focus foreground - helps draw the viewers eye up to him.

     Great find and nice composition. To me this photograph is crying out for a set of graduated ND filters just to pull that sky back a bit. You have the eye so it would be well worth the small investment.

Great timing and great detail - love the shapes created by the shafts of light

Beautiful subject, there is a lovely contrast between the cobbles and the dog. The depth of field works, it gives us enough detail in the womans face without the background becoming distracting. Well done keeping the dogs eyes in focus

The lines in the cobbles lead the eye to the subject. I like the desaturated look of the colour.

There is joy in the photograph, an image that just makes you feel a bit better.

Thank you all for your comments. I am very pleased the image caught your eyes for long enough to make you feel like commenting.

The idea of the crop is growing on me but I probably wouldn't make it as big as you suggested because I like the steel stretching off into the horizon although the point about losing some of the reflection is valid.
