Its a pleasure to comment on your first critique submission. Believe me there are better qualified peope on PN than me but here are my thoughts. I like a lot the angle of the shot. I woud have cropped tight to the first high pile lh side and cropped about half of the sky . It will be interesting to see what others think. A great shot all the same.I have tried to upload an example but don't seem to be able.

Best Regards

Tony

Very pretty colors with the orange structures contrasting with the blue sky. There seems to be a suggestion that the horizon is tipped. Looking at it for a while convinces me that your dramatic sky and the structures hold the important elements, while the ditch full of water does little. Since placing the orange structures more or less dead center from top to bottom lessons their impact, I suggest cropping the lower part of the picture out. I played with your image for awhile and attach my first thought for better crop. I also heightened the contrast.

Regards,

Jerry

Thank you all for your comments. I am very pleased the image caught your eyes for long enough to make you feel like commenting.

The idea of the crop is growing on me but I probably wouldn't make it as big as you suggested because I like the steel stretching off into the horizon although the point about losing some of the reflection is valid.

Thanks again.
