Lovely vibrant colors.......but, perhaps, a bit too vibrant. I would have framed the stream somewhat differently, so that it didn't run down the middle of the shot.
Less is more.........or so it has lately seemed to me. Having said that, I wouldn't have been able to have resisted taking this shot either myself and probably would have created and saved a handful of different versions for myself.
Nice job.

Gorgeous shot, Oscar; but what is the source of illumination on the rock? Surely it's not the moon. If it's the lantern, then that's one badass lantern ya got. Nice work.

Rembrandt and the other Dutch masters played with an manipulated light to an extraordinary degree, and I regard this shot as a modern day homage to them.
Question, though, Jose: Surely you've done some manipulation in PS. Where was this shot? Was that the original background?
A very compelling moment beautifully caught.

I thought that this photo screamed to be viewed in black and white,
but as it turned out, I think I actually preferred the color version
more (which can be viewed in My Portfolio.
I'm not as comfortable post-processing in b&w as I would like, and
this shot may reflect that. There's a lot I need to learn, and I look
forward to reading the wisdom and critiques of others.
Thanks so much.

You can never go wrong photographing fall colors, and the reflection in the water is quite lovely.
Having said that, I would have liked to have seen a bit of sky (and, yes, that reflected in the water too). As photographed, it feels somewhat claustrophobic and boxed in (the black frame doesn't help with that).
Fall is the best time of year, isn't it?

Mr. Merz has created a stunning and inspired work of art. Compositionally perfect.
Would that our zoo afforded the same opportunities.

A crisp fall day. Clear skies and this incredible burst of color
pouring forth.

Struck by the color at first........and then, later on after I got
home, that funny look on its face

Very imaginative work; but, personally, I found it slightly unsettling. Never been much of a candy/chocolate devotee which is perhaps why the sprinkles and chocolate ultimately didn't work their magic on me. I didn't know quite what to feel.
FWIW, I do prefer your original executed idea.
