Like the title says, I have a 70-300 af-s which I like very much, and have no issues with. I am looking to get some faster glass, either a
used 80-200 2.8 af-s, or 70-200 2.8. I am leaning more towards the 80-200 because the 70-200 vr2 is still a little pricey. Should I trade
or sell the 70-300, and use the proceeds going to the new lens, or keep it as a backup? I know the 70-300s aren't exactly fetching much
money, and mine is just as good today a the day I bought it. Let me hear some of your thoughts and opinions.

You remove the key that relaeses the back. This is where the power rewind of the MD-1 or MD-2 engages. There is a flip-up lever on the drive that will allow you to open the back. These drives actually have a threaded receptacle in the handle to store the release key. The drive gets screwed into the tripod socket and is engaged using the slotted hub that you see on the right side of the camera bottom. The little pin approx 11 o'clock is actuated by a slide on the drive to release the rewind spool. Hope that helps, John D.
I have had the HB-33 on mine since day one with no issues. Apparently it has been replaced by the HB-45, which can be had for less than $20.00 with a quick search.

Happy Wednesday to all! Really great work so early in the day. My photo this week captures the temperature gauge/coolant fill on the 1906 Alco-6 Black Beast Racer. In motor racing circles this is a historical car because it won the prestigious Vanderbilt Cup race on Long Island in 1909 and 1910. The car also raced in the inaugural Inianapolis 500 held in 1911, unfortunately it finished 33rd out of 40 due to bearing failure.
Once again, som top notch work from extremely talented photographers!. My week from hell had continued until yesterday, so i hadn't gotten a chance to post earlier. A high light is that i picked up a 70-300 and took some shots at m 4 y/o's 1st soccer game. D200, 70-300@310mm, f5.3, 1/250, iso 400.
@ Joseph Leotta-gotta love that old stuff, i don't have the heart to get rid of mine. I also have an F2, and F3. Great old cameras.
@ Lil- nice shot of the egrets, the one on the left looks kind of angry!
