1.
I will be shooting a large group, outdoor (~25 people, all adults) soon. I never shot a group of this size. This picture will be posted in our webpage. This group picture will be taken in front of a huge building so that I want this group with the building as the background. I appreciate your suggestions to make this shot a great one. I have the following gear.
Nikon D300
Nikon 18-200mm VR lens
Nikon 24mm f/2.8 ais
Nikon 35mm f/2.0 AF
Nikon 50mm f/1.2 ais
and Nikon 85mm f/2 ais
Nikon sb800
tripod
I prefer, 35mm lens, is right choice ? Do I really need to use flash ?
Please advise me how to organize the group.
thanks

 2.
I just bought some Fujichrome T64 RTP-II (type II) tungsten balanced films ($3.00 per roll). Unfortunately they arrived like open box items and have no idea when did they expire. On some of the cartridges written fujichrome T64 RTP-II (type II) while some other says RTP. Does anyone know the difference between RTP II and just RTP and which one do you like ? When did these films become available in the market. Since it is an ISO64 film, I just want to keep them. Thanks.

 3.
Len, since the seller had this scanner for about a year as a back up scanner, its warranty expired; however, it is still brand new, unused. I looked around for this scanner for a week and never found it, but yesterday, I saw an add in ebay for this scanner and stupid enough to buy it immediately. Now I am regretting that paid so much. That's why trying to know if it's really worth $400.00. If you have some scanned images from this scanner can you post them here please. thanks

 4.
Thanks for your responses. I accidentally posted my question in digital cameras forum which I felt is wrong place, but immediately realized and posted again in beginners forum; but I tried and could not remove it from dig cameras forum. Sorry.
I will be using HN-7 hood on this lens both on D300 and F100 cameras. So, if I can use it on FX body I ceratainly can use it on FX without vignetting.
- thanks

 5.
David,
your list looks like it is good enough for at least 15 kids. I have a question before I can even think of suggesting more equipments for you. Do you have any film camera in your list? if not, you may like to consider ? They are at the right age to learn anything, so that film camera is a good starting point to learn basics of photography. Later on they can switch over to digital. In film cameras you have flexibility to open the camera and teach them the basics. You may ask them to have their film processed in a lab or they can even learn processing. At the end of your course, some of your student may like to pursue with film only while the remaining students go on with digital, who knows what they like, but I believe your kids must be exposed to both film and digital shooting. what do you think.
- vishwanath

 6.
Matt, I did not know that there is a DX mode in D3 or D700 that's why I mentioned DX lenses can't be used on FX sensors (without causing vignetting). Now let us think of my Nikon f100 film camera. When I mount nikon 18-200mm VR DX lens on it, I can see that only area at the center is visible. Is what I see in view finder accurate or is there more vignetting than I can see ? Is metering accurate with this lens on film camera ? does this lens damage the camera? these are some other questions I came up with, after I heard from you guys.

 7.
I need to know this just out of curiosity. While FX lenses of Nikon can be used both on FX and DX format cameras, why do nikon produce DX lenses which can't used on FX sensors ( I know about vignetting !!) ? thanks

 8.
I just finished shooting kodak ektachrome 100VS films. Can anyone please suggest me what type processing I should go for. This is the first set of films I ever shot. I am a bit confused if I should push / pull process or just go for normal processing.
Please suggest some good labs near Chicago area.
thanks
