Hey everyone!

Today I got excited because I handheld a shutter at 2 seconds and it was pretty darn clear. It made me wonder about how long the awesome people on pnet could handhold a picture and it be clear. So does anyone wanna take a challenge with me below and post photos handheld with long shutter speeds and they maybe we can all vote at the end? Does this sound fun? Yay! :)

(PS I'm not sure why my text got so big just then, I hit a weird key on my laptop and can't make it go back lol)

How anyone know how to create a rotating flash banner for your wedding blog. I found a great article on how to insert your flash header onto blogger:

But I have no idea how to create a rotating flash blogger similar to the ones that http://www.netrivet.com/ used to do. The examples can be seen here:

Thanks!

Raymond, So what if I rented all of my equipment and got insurance on it. Then I ask the bride and groom to give me an invitation, pay for the hotel, flight, and then the balance after the wedding?

Thanks so much Marc! Wow! And thanks everyone else too. The person is a stranger getting married in Tulum. The budget is $5k is that enough?

Hey all!

I just got asked to shoot a wedding in Mexico and I was wondering if I could have advice on what exactly to charge. They have a pretty big budget which will definitely cover my travel costs, but what else should I charge for? Thanks!!

There is the "look book" which is pretty good. And design aglow just came out with a posing guide as well.

How do you get your website to the top? Does anyone have an article about it? I know nothing about SEO :(

Brenna,
I like this shot... I always put myself in the brides shoes and if I were this bride, I would like this picture. The blown highlights do not bother me at all. I like how you used the sun to light the back of her hair. Sure the face could have been better, but it's not bad. The clenched fist is the only thing that really needs to be cloned. I would also add a warming filter.

Oh William Wallace, you never fail to make me laugh...

I agree that a good camera does not make a good photographer. I've seen many people with mkII's that look like they're shot with disposable cameras. But I think everyone should agree that our goal as professionals is to continuously improve the quality of our images. So if a photographer was in the business a couple of years and didn't invest in their equipment (bodies, lenses) and also workshops- I would question why

I volunteer to mentor you, but you have to be open to real criticism. E-mail me!

-

I respectfully disagree with the posters above. I think that if the budget is over $1500, the photographer should have a full frame camera, backup camera and a nice portfolio.

Apparently my contact form on my bludomain doesn't work and HASN'T been working for while! Imagine how
many bride inquiries I've missed!@#$%^&
-

We should contact bludomain and let them know. Maybe they will take his site down.

I just deleted my wedding photos from my portfolio on here. I need to come up with a new watermark :/

1)Does anyone know where I can buy this black grate that holds canvases? Or a stand that holds a canvas? Here's an example:
http://blinkdcblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/glenview-mansion-bridal-show-sucess.html

2)Also, do you always give gift bags away to brides? What do you put in them?

3) How many sample albums do you suggest having?

4) Where do you get a table cloth with your name on it?

5) In that picture above, where do you get that tall sign that stands up? Does anyone know a place to order them?
6) Is there anything else I really need that is unique?

Thanks! :)

I just got the Canon 15mm fisheye and it's like obscenely loud when I try to autofocus. Is this how the camera normally sounds? I do weddings and don't know if I would be able to use this in a church because of how loud it was. It sounded like a robot making pancakes.
