    That, and a brighter head, Bob. With these type of shots, though, something is always going to be less than perfect. I think getting them reasonably sharp with good exposure is the main part of the of the battle.

    As long as there isn't anything to hide I like to crop as close as possible. It's the best way to show off the detail in the the bird as opposed to showing off a blurred bg. The more room you allow the bird, the smaller the bird becomes.
