1.
My Epson 3800 has been working fine for years. In the past couple of months the quality of my prints showed a significant change and now .. I'm at a place where it prints blank pages.
I did all the required steps to clean the printer head and just ran a test .. Still blank.
One of the ink cartridges (LLK) is flashing as Low Ink … Could this be the reason?
I've just placed the order for a new cartridge.

Thank you.

 2.
the printer hasnt been in use for some time ... perhaps that's the reason?! when i don't intend on using it for a few months .. is it best to remove all ink cartridges and store them away ?

 3.
i ran a power clean and tried a print just now. I got a very very very faded b& w image with vertical lines… the image is in color. Not sure why it's printed in b&w .. i checked everything. Is something clogged?

 4.
my epson 3800 is suddenly not printing. the ink is full and the paper goes through and the printer goes through the motion of a full print .. but the paper comes out blank. has anyone experienced this before? thank you

 5. Thank you. I've just had a look. Do I enter my name in keywords or author? - in order for the image to show up in online searches
 6.
I have 2 images I need to deliver to a client for Press use online .. Website etc. There are some layouts where they told me they are unable to place photo credit - But whenever possible, press release etc - They will. My question: Is there any way I can input my name into the file ... So that it does come up in searches when my name as a photographer is searched online? Do i input it into File Info in photoshop .. If so, where exactly? Also, would it help to name the file with my name .... xxx.jpg ? Would that also come up in searches? Thank you.

 7.
I understand that I need to light it properly .. I'm on a very tight schedule and may not have time to go buy anything. If lit properly, would thick white fabric do the job ... it doesnt need to be texture free. Just simple and white.

 8.
thank you .. But prior to going off looking to purchase - i want to know if what i have works. white fabric .. slightly lighter than canvas. It has no transparency to it ... Just not as stiff as felt

 9.
I've been asked to do a shoot where a clean white background is necessary. The client home's walls is full of paintings etc. I've worked out a way with some bars I have to create a backdrop .. Would thick white fabric work or would I need white paper rolls? Im worried the fabric may not give a solid enough background . Please advise. Thank you

 10.
To Whom It May concern
A while back I was commissioned by a reputable magazine to do the photographs for an interview they were running with someone. It was published in the magazine and all the correct credit in place. I've recently seen the spread in the same magazine that's based out of another country. I looked for credit in the 6 page spread and all I could found at the edge of the paper is credit to the head magazine/company - that i had done the work for. Does this sound correct/legal? Shouldn't credit be given no matter where the work is published? Even the writer of the piece is not credited. Other spreads in the magazine give credit to even images taken off of instagram! Kindly explain what my rights are? The initial contract was on the basis that I wouldn't be allowed to do anything with those images for the first 6 months - They had never bought full rights - So I'm confused with why the credit is just to the name of the mother magazine! Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank you.

 11. Thank you Eric? Are they free? I'll have a look. I'm after a properly structured online course over a period of time. Thank you again . Will browse through them
 12. Hello .. Can someone recommend the most popular/reputable online course for Photoshop and image manipulation . Many thanks
 13. How do I check the color space? All as I always have it as far as I can see. At printing I allow photoshop to manage colors
 14.
I've been printing with no problems on my Epson 3800.
I'm now attempting to print an image for a client as i always do and the colors are quite off, it looks very bizarre, as if it's been painted on the paper. Ink is quite heavy and there is a red/magenta tint. I've tried everything and nothing seems to be working. What could have possibly gone wrong? I always print in this same process.
many thanks

 15.
Thank you.
I didn't use the white balance for this particular shoot so wondering what i need to do to adjust skin tone/colour tone etc ? should i do it in RAW ?

 16.
And is the Levels -- eye dropper -- clicking on darkest area and then clicking on lightest area of image an accurate way to color correct ?

 17.
For skin color correction, is that done as the first step in post production or as the last? After curves, levels, contrast etc...? I assume tones will change again if one starts with it? Any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you

 18.
Thank you for your reply Michael. I plan on having the main light at camera right, so not sure i'll need a fill light. I really do need to keep the set-up as simple as possible to move from one room to the other.

Just to make sure I have this flash/ambient light balancing right. So i go into a room, with nice house lights, side lamps etc. I get a correct exposure of that room. Let's say I get ISO200, F8 @ 60 for example. Do i then set the camera to that and just adjust the flash power on its own? until im happy with the light on my subject?
OR do i then use my light meter to do a flash reading for the f-stop and bring that into the initial reading so that it would be ISO200 ? @ 60 ?

 19.
I've been commissioned to do a shoot for 2 individuals in their home. The shoot will take place afternoon into late afternoon/evening when home lights, side lamps etc will be nicely lit up.
1) As the shoot will need to go from one location of the home to the other, i need a quick set-up solution. I am thinking of taking a one light set-up, metering the light at a certain distance and then using that distance for each shot, same set-up on camera. Would this work - with small adjustments I'm sure. May bring in a hair light for some (unsure). Would appreciate advise on a quick set-up solution to move from location to location .. all i'll need it for is fill light. I'm thinking about getting a reading let's say at f4 / 125 .. measuring that distance and moving around with that from room to room.

2) As we lose day light and start lighting up the home lights atmospherically - How can I use the studio flash and still maintain the ambient/background house lights. Do i take a reading of the room and set that shutter speed? I assume i'll need a tripod as well?

 20.
I have recently been contacted by a very reputable UK magazine, who is running a feature spread on a prominent individual. This magazine normally sends out their own photographers - But for this one, sourcing out. My work has always been within private commissions and never via a magazine commission. I am meeting with the magazine in the coming few days and one of the things they emphasised is discussing the budget (of course) prior to moving forward with the shoot. I am totally unsure what fee to put forward. Do I ask what budget they have? I would appreciate replies on how one would price such a shoot. JDo I price in rights? Magazine circulation? Use of images again? Many thanks
