1.
i accidentally loaded a black and white film instead of colour. the project i'm doing at the moment requires colour (it's for school) and i don't really have the money to just shoot a black and white film when i don't need to. i'm using a canon eos 300x and know that the film can be rewound into the canister, but if i do this, will it leave a bit sticking out so i can re-load it later? or will it take the whole film in? (if this is the case, how could i "grab" the end again?)

  2.
had my eos 300x for just over a year and love it. however, yesterday i turned it on to start using and the autofocus isn't working. the little red dot will flash but then there is no "beep" to say it has focused, and it doesn't focus! manual focus is working fine so i can still use my camera, but i'd really like to know what's going on and see if i can fix it.
has this happened to anyone else?

  3.
I accidentally bought Ilford XP2 Super black and white film thinking i'd be able to develop it myself at college. However I realised afterwards that it is C41 which (my teacher told me!) needs to be developed using colour chemicals and must be sent off.
But I really need to develop these prints myself. They're for my portfolio so sending them off to be done would be pointless as I couldn't use them. I was wondering if it's possible to cross-process this film using the B&W chemicals. I don't mind if it's a mixed result, I'd rather try than have nothing!
Is it possible? Would there be anything I need to change? Developer time?
Thanks :)

  4.
Is it possible to shoot double exposures on a canon eos 300x? When my film is done, it is automatially wound back in, so how would I re-load the film? And even if that is possible, how can I line up the film correctly so that the new shots are directly on top of the old ones?
Is there an easier way to do this that I'm completely overlooking?
Thanks :)

  5. As our Christmas present to each other, my family and I are making our bathroom into a darkroom as we are all photography enthusiasts.

We've read up about it and have found equipment that we want etc. but our only worry is disposal of chemicals. I've heard it's unsafe and

bad for the environment to simply pour chemicals down the drain, but what should we do with them?

    Thanks for your help
