1.
Controlling Noise is the smart work done by the intelligence in camera body? Or is it because of the quality of glass which does not let noise signal to enter
There is something called Signal to Noise ratio.. which makes perfect sense and I guess it is directly related to quality of image w.r.t noise. This ratio would be in favor (less noise) if glass is good. Body would not play any role here.
Does this u/s make sense? Are there any other factor worth considering w.r.t Noise?
I understand that high ISO means higher noise.

 2.
Hi
Having many options is good and bad. Bad because it is confusing. Not sure at the end of the day which one would be right place from where your sale can be initiated.
I want to put my portfolio or rather common man word photographs on some website, but not sure which way to go. I am connected to hundreds of friends on Facebook.
1. Should I create facebook album or facebook page?
2. Flickr
3. Own website
4. Any other good site to present photographs
Ok, end objective is to have larger audience see the photographs, like and/or comment on them and it should provide best chance of sale of photograph.
Any suggestions?

 3.
@Wauter Willemse - EXIF is like this:
Shooting Mode: Aperture Priority
Tv = 1/30
Av = f/22
Metering = Evaluative
Compensation = -1/3
ISO = 200
Focal = 51mm
White Balance = Auto
Sharpness = +3
Saturation = +1

Thank you everyone for your inputs. So in the noon time with bright sun, GND filter would help or CPL?

 4.
Yesterday I took many photos and about 60-70% of them came with sky color very unnatural. The color looked more like a cheapo digital camera.
I wanted to take your advise on what could be wrong with my technique and how can I prevent this next time.
What I used: Canon T2i in AV mode with aperture f/11 or f/22 for most of them ... ISO 100
It was a sunny day and time of day was around 2pm to 5pm
5.
Hi
Seeking openinon from this experienced reader and user base..
Which combination would work better on crop camera?
A) Canon 70-200 f/4 L IS with 1.4x or 2x extender?
Around $1120 + $299
or
B) Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS
$1599
Cost would workout almost same, not way large diff..
Max aperture beyond 200 is 5.6 in 70-300 lens..
In 70-200, With 1.4x it would be 5.6.. but reach would be 280, little less..

I am mainly concerned about image quality, w.r.t lens's capability of color, contrast and shapness
Any comments or guidance would help
Thank you
Gunjan

 6.
I am wondering how would one weather cover those lenses that are not weather proof?
Example: Using 17-55 f/2.8 on Canon 7D makes this kind of mixture where body is weather proof but lens is not.
In this case, does any one know of any accessories which one can use to make it weather proof? Mainly sudden rain or sand storm etc..

 7.
After all various experiments.. I concluded that following is the best working one..
sharpness +4 and saturation +1 works best..
I used 17-55 and images coming out of it are ready! Nothing more is required..
Pretty happy with this combination..
Thank you all for your inputs..

 8.
This might sound crazy but I could not decide which one to buy for my 7D.
I bought 17-55 and borrowed 24-105.. I am trying both of them since past two days..
So far not been able to conclude..
17-55 gives f/2.8 which has its own benefit w.r.t creativity with DOF
24-105 is solid build quality.. no worry of dust and weather.. this is mainly important for me with the fact that I would be using lens + camera mainly in India which is much more dusty than US

 9.
I own 7D. 7D video requires handsome amount of time at least when its new to the user. Also without having LCD attachment, it becomes difficult sometime to make out whether things are in good focus, the way we thought or not. Initially it used to happen with me that I come to know about out of focus video only when I see on computer.
7D is great tool, but it requires great learning also. As you already read elsewhere that its not point it and forget it video shooting.

 10.
Hi
Most places would say 24mm is not too wide enough for crop sensor body. Lets assume its not a concern for someone..

With respect to image quality (color, contrast and sharpness)
Is it safe to assume that if 24-105 is highly preferred lens for even 5D Mark II which is 21 MP camera, it ought to perform well on Canon 7D which is 18 MP?
Or, are there any other aspects to consider..

 11.
Thanks everyone.. to answer few Qs
1. I am comparing them on my laptop display, not at 100% view, but what fits screen (16" diagonal)
2. I have tried using tripod and compared images. I would look out for an image and attach here as example.
3. I generally use sharpness=3 and in some cases saturation +2 but these I have set in User modes, I have not overwritten existing picture style
I agree with all of you.. its more of a learning on my side than the camera itself.

 12.
Hi
Upgraded from XTi to 7D. I used to shoot JPEG only most of the time. I am not a professional and do not have huge time and liberty to shoot in RAW and later convert to JPEG.
I realized that JPEGs coming out of 7D were soft all across when shot in "L", i.e. 18 MP setting.
FYI - I would use EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 lens on this.

Questions:
1. What best I can do to achieve optimum JPEG image quality out of 7D?
2. Are there any particular/magic setting that would give best image quality?
3. How can I match quality of 7D JPEG which is 18 mpixel with XTi JPEG which is 10 mpixel?

Thank you for providing your inputs.
Gunjan

 13.
I am buying either Canon 17-55 f/2.8 or Canon 24-105 f/4 IS
I would be in US for few months and then would be mainly using this in India.
My question is: I heard and read that 17-55 f/2.8 is a dust prone or rather dust sucking lens due to lack of weather sealing. Should it be a worry point? Apart from this, I love the lens for its versatility and quality of images.

 14.
Honestly I am not able to make out whether I would need 2.8 or not. Even after that, when I saw resolution figures of both of these lenses, 17-55 impresses more.
If I do not have to do any video work, would u suggest spending extra for 7D? Or I can live initially with other body and spare that for lens?
Other way of asking is: Would 7D -- due to lot of state of the art features -- give better overall image quality? I would not shoot in RAW on regular basis
