Great images Federico, are they black & white at source or you convert them in PS?
Thanks bkhan. Yes, I converted to b&w with PS. This time I used the easy and quick way: I started with the jpg versions and use the default PS b&w option.
Normally I first "refinish" the raw material, and then convert it to b&w using the color lab way. (sorry for my limited english)

I don't understand why you say the distances were 'calculated'. Surely the A7II allows you to view the focus in real time?
At that moment, I had not with me my glasses so I used the super angulon depth of field scales info to meassure the distance. For that reason I think I made a bad calculus in some shots...I guess

Hello Robin... Thanks a lot for your kindly comment...I forgot to put in the title that this Super-Angulon is the M version, from 1959. And yes, my friend looks very close to the old Einstein...More than that...he looks too to Jesus Soto, the great cinetic venezuelan arttist.
Regards
Federico
Is this the M or R version? Nice. Amazing to see Einstein still alive and with us. I thought he passed away in 1955:)- 1

Last sunday I was playing with the Super-Angulon, and I want to share some pics I taked in this first test. Some pics are reframed. I know I did not get yet the best of this small wide angle lens can do...Mainly because I calculate wrong the distance....that explain the soft faces of my friends in near all pics...

Is not a good buy...Is a Great buy

I am very satisfied with the medium format / nex7 combination....In my opinion, all the pics I taked with the Mamiya zoom (105-210) are more sharp or definied than the produced with the sony zoom e mount (55-210).

Phillip: Yes... when you are focusing (amplified) at 210 with the Nex7- Mamiya zoom, you can feel what parkinson disease means

This is a pic taked with a Sony Nex-7 with a Mamiya medium format zoom 105-210mm I used a Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter, Mamiya 645 Mount Lens - Sony NEX Camera Camcorder Adapter. It works perfect.

Hmmmm....Greg.... This is iteresting...Very interesting!
Can you tell more about? In this case what tube did you use? 30mm, 45mm 90mm? What lens? Simply you attach the tube and lens, give a look to the LCD screen, make the best focus possible and shot? Do you have more examples to show?
This is a good place for to show your experience about. In any case if you want to mail me, and send me hi res pics, this is my add federico.prieto@gmail.com I want to learn some about... And yes, you can send me all you want.

By the way, my friend gave me too a pair of lenses: a Summitar 5cm f/2 from 1939 and a Summaron 3,5 f/3,5 from 1949. Both are like new...no fungus, scratches or dusts... The lens from 1939 is in oustanding condition...May be never was used (10++) the Summaron is 9,80+---- I am glad....hehehehehhehehe

Hello: A friend gave me an old leica extension tube set of diferents sizes with screw mounts.... 30mm, 45mm, 60mm, 90mm and a very short without number (maybe 15mm). All are black enamel (or some like that) and has the following info or logo (E. Leitz New York, Made in USA). Here is a pic I found in internet with the 45mm tube (exactly like mine)
Any idea about this tubes? How to use that? I have two leica cameras: M4 and M8 and some lenses (screw and M mount) and a Sony Nex7...soon I will have a leica mount for this camera......so, any tips and info about are welcome.....
tia

OK I knew there are a lot of differences thicks in sheet brass... so I will take a meassure -with a vernier- of the long of the lens, and another after the rotation. In that way I will know what is the difference for to buy the sheet brass with a +/- correct thick....
Any idea where to put the washer ring?
thanks

Federico

Oh... that`s perfect for me John... I will travel to the States in 3 weeks and I can buy that... Any other tip, specification?...meassure? or just I need to buy the shim brass ?

-

Hi Stephen.... I did not take the meassure yet, but I believe it is very thin...may be 1 millimeter...Do you believe I could find a washer ring of that thick? Can I made that? How?
thanks

Recently I bought a 135 Tele-Elmar in Keh. The lens arrived in outstanding condition and in minutes I went to my Leica local expert to test it in the collimator. The infinite was 100% OK. When I made the first photos with M8 all of the pics -in different apertures and distances- were out of focus... Then I rechecked the lens in the collimator and the lens confirmed that it has not infinite problem. I went to Google and I found some people with similar problems between Tele-Elmar and M8 and M9...I read about some diferentes solutions and I selected the more easy for me: to rotate the removable head a complete turn (360º loose)...I rotated many timen until I found a complete turn was the way (in my case)

The pic was taked after that.... OK....it has some postproducction.....

Now I need to learn how to fix the head in this position (a 360º turn)....sorry for my complicated english... the rose was at 1.7 meters from the lens and this is a crop of the picture...may be a 25%... Tripod ISO 160 and f8 or 5,6 and 4 seconds

....and yes.... for near 430$ the Tele-Elmar is the bargain of the century...
