1.
What can I do? Try more cleaning cycles? That is the one thing I will complain about this model. I had an R2400 when it came out and last year after 3 life cycles I had to say good-bye and that model had less cleaning cycles as the R3000. I'm pretty disappointed with it when it comes to clogging. It is always at least clogged on one color usually Cyan. Maybe I got a dud on this one. My warranty is going to run out this month, too.

 2.
Would it be clogged even if when I run the print head test there are no missing bars?
If you look at the print head on you don't see it. When you see it against the light it shows up.
I've been printing pretty often, but I've noticed if you don't print for more than a week it will need to be cleaned.

 3.
I haven't contacted Epson yet, but I will in the next few hours.
The printer (R3000) is almost a year old since I purchased it from amazon. Besides a few issues I have with the amount of wasted ink during cleaning cycles I don't have a lot of problems. It is working, but I have noticed more and more that even if the heads are clean on dark areas and black areas while printing large prints there are bands of black glossy or semi glossy streaks you can see if you shine the light directly on the print out. I print in matte only and only have the photo black cartridge in the printer because I assume it can't print without it being there.
It makes the prints look like there is a problem with the printer and really kind of looks tacky.
Here are some photos of what I mean.
Has anyone experienced this issue?

Click on Links for examples.
1 2 3
