Nice work Marc, perfect exposure with great detail throughout the image, the lighting on the rock in the foreground combined with the colorful reflection and clouds make this work well.

    Best Regards, Brendan.

Thanks for the feedback, for your information this is two exposures merged together both taken on f8 at around 30sec but one on ISO 100 and the 2nd on ISO 1600.

The first gave me a good even exposure of the building with no blown-out areas, the second a good exposure of the sky rendering the stars without too much background light.

Noise reduction was very effective on the 2nd exposure given the black background.

The clear outline of the building made it easy to blend the 2 photo's together.

Amazing angle of view Gabi, the curved lines from the fish eye lens add to this photo given there are already many curves and angles in the structure of the building.

  1. Thanks Glen, Catherine,

This was my first visit to this spot and not at all easy to find a good location in the dark. The view from the cliffs was spectacular however gale force westerly winds nearly blew me over the edge so I settled on this more protected loaction by the water. What made this work was the 2m high waves breaking over the rocks, the water carried all the way to my camera position.

    Best Regards, Brendan.

I spotted the moon above the Bahai House of Worship in Sydney whilst

driving past and decided to take a quick photo. Using f8 to achieve

enough DOF the moon looks like a bright star above the centre of the

building. Exposure long enough to capture the stars.

  2. Excellent Giglio, composition is good with the cove providing a natural frame for the photo, good detail and interest in the midground and the skyline and clouds are superb.

    Best Regards, Brendan.
