Wow - what a lovely image. We have these birds wild in New Zealand and I remember - when I was a kid - looking for their eggs in the manuka bushes. The bird stands out clearly because it is contrasted against the dark background. I also like the soft green colours of the Fennel that the bird is sitting on (well I hope it is fennel).
Keep pursuing your passion - you will inspire many with your beautiful images.

I watched these guys for a long time loading sugarcane in the tropical
heat. I was sweating and felt weary just watching them. I had been
out to this isolated location several times before, so they all waved
and smiled - they knew me as the 'Foreigner, with big camera'. They
were very gracious, and I have many special images from this one shoot.
The sun warmed up later in the day and the images were even more
striking - hopefully I will post again to illustrate this.

Mai is a girl I met here in HCMC, Vietnam. She has done some part
time modelling and was very professional and worked well in front of
the camera. I have many great shots from the few days that we worked
together. This is one of my favorite ones.
I would like some feedback on composition, lighting, overall impact etc.
Cheers
Philip
