David Attenborough's new Africa series travels through the vast and diverse continent of Africa, from the soaring Atlas Mountains to the Cape of Good Hope, the brooding jungles of the Congo to the raging Atlantic Ocean.
The series, filmed over four years, explores the whole continent, uncovering bizarre new creatures and extraordinary behaviours. Here series producer James Honeyborne, producer Simon Blakeney and director Felicity Egerton talk about the experience of making Africa.

I found this from the 'Daylight Photography' Multimedia page and thought it was worth a thread. It's an interview with Martin Parr and Alec Soth discussing his new piece of work for the Brighton Photo Biennial. It's a realy engaging and interesting interview. Its interesting in the way he talks about how he came to create his new project. I guess you can create a piece of work even when the odds are stacked against you, trouble is, is it any good compared to his other projects ? Interested to hear peoples opinions as I am divided.

  3.
thanks for this, thats interesting. Dan you are right about the style being more important that the equipment for sure, but the bubble wrap interested me ! Still not sure what that is for ! Any recommendations for buying a similar type of flash head/bulb for use with that power ? Looking to go travelling and take it with me. I dont really know much about flash or the makes and price range. Had a look on the lumedyne site, looks great but a little bit expensive for me at the moment. I am going to get a vivitar flash but would like to experiment with the same set up as this guy was using so any recommendations or thought would be much appreciated ! thanks !

  5. Hi,

I have the loan of a Bronica sqai for a few weeks. I have stocked up on 10 rolls of kodak 400 120 film and Im

raring to go. However as I am a newcomer to the medium format and indeed bronica world, I was wondering about

something before I get started. On the viewing screen, I have a horizontal and vertical grid lines. (I think its

a split-image focusing screen) Im not sure when composing a picture whether I should ignore outside these lines

or is it the whole screen that takes the image. Is it just inside the gridlines or the whole screen that is the

    image ?

Many thanks for helping me with this. It may seem obvious but I want to make sure before burning off ten rolls of

film, and I guess thats what the forum is for !

    Thanks,

    John
