nope. pavement.
-
Can you tell what it is?

Watching a huge mass of webs on an old cabin in the woods, I saw a
butterfly get stuck. all the spiders would race to the bug, but only one
would get there on time. remind me of skydivers in this pic.

Took this photo on a beach by some mangroves in Costa Rica. it looks
quite nice, but this thing didn't nearly give enough shade, and there
were hundreds of little sand mites biting at me. i only sat there long
enough for the self timer to go, before running straight into the water.
please view larger image, it's much nicer.

super. i thought from the thumbnail these were people riding on an escalator. The diagonal layout of the shot certainly makes it more intersting than if it were just straight on.
-
Awsome shot. the more I look, the more I enjoy the shot.
-
Cool.
-
I like this. the grainy feel of the shot makes me think of some kind of eerie space program. the layout is also interesting.

I think for a shot like this, if you could get it without the shadow of whatever you're standing under, if would be a bit less distracting.

Spotted these two bugs (they look like the assassin bugs back home)
hanging out under some kind of melon as I was walking through a forest
in Costa Rica at night. How do you like it?
(also, you wouldn't know what kind of insects the are would you?)

Saw this man on a beach. it was a beautiful day, but he seemed
determined not to enjoy it. the full size picture is much better.
-
The view of black tusk from the top of whistler. pls. view larger image.
what do you think?

Just seeing the thumbnail of this picture, it almost looks like two rusted pieces of metal poking out of the water. The read streaking down gives the impression of a reflection on the water

Took this photo while walking along a beach in Costa Rica at night. it's
so far unmanipulated in anyways, cropped, saturated and whatnot. Any
ideas on how to make this kind of shot better? Had a fairly low f-stop
and iso, with a long(~13second) shutter.

I love the sense of movement you've created in what seems to be a calm area. very nice!

Took this photo at the end of a day of surfing out in Costa Rica. How'd I
do?
-
you finally got your macro lens? nice! cool pic. but i think if you had shot it from slightly further away, and got the rest of the wing in there, it might of been a touch better. still, great colours and timing.
-
good to know. but there must be a disadvantage to using a lower aperture. yes?
-
the lone crowd surfer at a Metronomy concert, at the biltmore cabaret,
Vancouver BC. the ceilings in there are so low, at one point they had
her walking on the ceiling upside down. I like the way it reminds me of
Lord of the Flies

maybe, but i have no idea how to improve the DOF without using a macro lens or some kind of wide angle/fish eye. not to mention i don't even really know what DOF is.
