I work as a graphic designer and for my files to be printed they have to be at 300dpi or there abouts! I've never heard of a printed changing the dpi for the size of the print it must loose quality! Thamks for the info guys, i'll have a look in my prefrences and if nothinf turns up then i'll just do it the old fashioned way.

Why is is that when i process my images using photoshop RAW from my 40D they come out at 240dpi and not 300dpi.

Is there any way i can change this on the camera so i don't have to change it on all my shots when i get into

photoshop? Thanks

I've saved up some money and was going to get a 40D when a friend informed me that the new arrival of the 5D mkii

will bring the 5D used prices down to the 40D range. So what do i go for? I'm drawn to the 40D as it's 6.5fps is

awesome for sport photography (which is what i mainly do) but the 5D is Full Frame.

 

Any help would be great!

hi there mate i'm in the same situation but i do climbing photography. The Canon would be my first choice but the price is crazy for such a specialized lens. Sigma would be my second but to be totally hnest i don't know much about them i was kinda hoping some more people would have reponded on this subject. Keep me posted on what you go with and how good it. Cheers

I had to make this choice this week and like you have already got the 70-200 in my bag. I've decided and ordered the 24-70 as the f2.8 really makes a nice difference over the f4. I shoot sports and climbing photography as well so will be looking forward to seeing what it has to offer. If i remember i'll post another reply to let you know next week!
