I would rather that this photo be taken in color. Moreover, the subjects are backlighted and details are lost. A better composition will be to take the gulls with the sun behind you and preferably only one gull. The rule of third do apply here. -
I just love the scene in a foggy winter morning. The road on the lower left adds a nice touch to it.

Nature has always provides us with wonderful colors that are pleasing to watch. It is an injustice that the spendour of this rose wasn't posted in color.

I lke the diagonal angle which the BF is pictured.
