I recently shot a few images at my cottage over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend with my Rebel XTi.
The weather was okay when I was shooting, about 10 degrees Celsius, and over night it was down to around.. 5ish
in the farmhouse. During shooting, my battery ran out and I changed it with my spare. I was shooting a bunch of
different things from birds to some berries on some plants.
I went out and shot some more stuff the next day, family dinner, walking with dog etc. I came home, did a small
photo shoot for the school newspaper for the Canadian elections and the day after that (today) I went to grab all
my photos off the camera.
To my surprise, all the photos from the first day shooting (when I changed the battery) are all gone off my flash
card...
I didn't delete them, and I didn't upload them over the weekend. The only time the camera had been access over
this period was when the newspaper grabbed my photos from the card, I was standing behind the editor when he did
it and there was no deletion of anything.
Has anyone experience this phenomenon of missing photos?
Help please!

I use my sigma 105 f/2.8 for macro as well as portrait photography, and I just picked up a Canon 70-200 F/4L
which I have promptly fallen in love with. I also have a 50 f/1.8 and the Kit... but they rarely seem to get used
any more.
