  1. This is really quite lovely! I think the sepia works especially well in this pose and lighting. My only nitpick is that the black line atop her butt really makes it look like this was cut and pasted onto the background. If you use Photoshop, perhaps do a layer for the background and then use the history brush to paint the lady in?

Love it! Sometimes a portrait captures personality, and when I saw this picture I thought, "my, what a friendly dog!" and then I nread your comments about him. Absolutely adorable. You captured his soul.

But then again, I've always been a fan of this sort of view. Not graphic enough to be classified as porn, but maybe too documentary to be considered art?

Really like the lighting, but it's the pose that really makes this image for me. Very nicely shot. The torso is odd to me - looks like bare skin but no nipple is shown. It must be very fleshlike top of some kind.

This is quite and excellent image. The purity and innocence is enhanced by the mystical, serene background. Is that a digital construct? Quite beautiful.

I like this; it shows of both her clitoral piercing and her nasal one, without being garish. That's hard to do! Quite a lovely view. It's also fascinating that the model has chosen those two piercings but not nipple ones, which are far more common.

  2. This is so lovely in many ways, but simple beauty is the best way to describe it. The soft light is perfect for the subject, and the colors are superb too. Not sure how to improve it - maybe if she was "impishly" holding her bikini top?

This is a wonderful image. I'm admittedly a fan of the rear view, but there's something very nice about this picture that draws me to it. Everything work, from the processing and colors to the "stray" hair across her face. The only thing I dislike is how the image fades away completely before the end of the left side of the frame. Looks like excessive vignetting to me, but only that one side.

  3. There are lots of images out there that don't try and hide the female genitalia, but few walk the fine line between simply erotic and lewdly pornographic as well as this image. It's a wonderful rendition of the nude female in all her splendor.

    Love it.

    Joyful!

This is a wonderful, honest, pure shot showing both humanity at its most animal, and, with the smile on her face, humanity at its most civilized. Well done. LOVE that it was shot on film too. Perfect for this subject.

I might crop it a bit more to get rid of the guy's hand on left, but otherwise, superb.

I'll never understand how great images like this don't get picked for POTW. This is simply superb - captures the very essence of hunting dog intensity.

"Can we stop with the posin' and get back to the hunting now?"

While I generally don't comment on digital B&W images, I have to in this case, with a question... Frederick Dunn has a vast portfolio of excellent images. His "couples" gallery in particular shows both true artistry and excellent craftsmanship. His compositions are superb.

How is it that this one, and not secret getaway is chosen as photo of the week?

I do like this image. The rush of water dousing the happy couple symbolizes, for me, the rush of all good things a happy marriage embodies. It also represents the washing the past away, what was two, now is one.

Congrats to mister Dunn on his selection. He is truly a master.
