I am looking for a quality (service as well as processing) commercial lab in the UK. I have started looking
around but am a firm believer in going with the tried and trusted.
Ideally I would prefer somewhere that allows you to ftp photos rather than post on CD to them and turns around in
about 48 hours. Don't really care where in the UK they are based.
Any recommendations would be great.

Good point Rudi, actually never thought about breaking the tubes.
I did check out buying it in the US (B&H Photo) but with shipping it works out about the same price and I'm also one of the unfortunate souls that always seems to get hit by customs charges!
I have now ordered the FX which should arrive today, will just have to be careful with it!
Thanks for the input guys.

I have to say, I don't understand all this keeping up with development nonsense any more. I used to want the
latest version of this and that and then realised how much money I was wasting. I think it is an age thing!
I have recently got more into photography and bought a 2nd hand 30D body (my wife already has the 40D), in
excellent condition and great shots. The only reason I could imagine upgrading is when I become a much more
accomplished photographer and feel that a change in equipment will help me step up a level. For that reason I
tend to ignore most latest product launches.
I think it is important to remember, it's what's behind the camera, not in it, that takes the great photos.

The FX is 200 - 260V and the BX is 90 - 260V. I am in the UK so don't really see the 90 - 260V as something I am looking for.

About £80 which seems a lot for having the user replaceable flash tube. I have also discovered that the BX supports variable voltage automatically so they could be used in the US, not that I can ever see me doing so.

I am getting ready to buy my first studio lighting kit and have selected the Elinchrom Style 400 (a balance
between price and performance) but am not sure if it is really worth spending the extra bit of hard earned cash
and plum for the BX rather than the FX. The only difference I can see is the BX having a user replaceable flash
tube and have been told by an Elinchrom dealer that the FX tube should last at least 5 years anyway, not even
taking advantage and trying to upsell.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the help guys, I checked the code and all appeared fine with the paths etc.
I ended up calling Adobe and the guy I spoke to is sure that the issue is indeed due to a restriction in the trial version of Lightroom which makes sense really. I'll just have to purchase the full version now.
Thanks again.

I have selected HTML which I would have assumed would work with no specific requirements as you said. The only thing I can think of is that as I am using the 30-day trial version at the moment it does not permit full web publishing.

When publishing a gallery from Lightroom 1.4 the images are missing from the webpage although when tested locally
on the PC it all works fine. I have tried to find out if their is a list of requirements for a hosting service to be
comapible with lightroom. I have checked the content of the server and the photos are definately there. Does
anyone know if there is a list of hosting requirements?
Elinchrom Style FX or BX?
