Hey Chris I'm a very similar boat as you. Except you already have a beautiful wedding to show to people. I thought your pictures were wonderful. As for the second shooter issue, I would guess that you would still benefit by learning the flow of weddings, interacting with all kinds of people, and different shooting conditions. Not to mention the networking aspect of working with an established photographer. Good luck to you and I look forward to seeing your next gallery.

I have been reading this forum for quite some time and have gleaned a monumental amount of information, for which
I am grateful this forum exists. What I would like to know from the folks that have been shooting weddings for a
while now; If you were starting out now and knew what you know, what would you do differently?

Hey Ross,
I love my 40d, you want to give me yours?

Hey Roman, that is next on my agenda and my wife has her old dress, I'm going to do "getting ready" shots. I'm also offering to do "engagement photos" of already married friends. It's kind of hard being 40 and all my friends are already married! thanks for the response.

Hello everyone at photo-net. I've been lurking for quite awhile absorbing the
wealth of knowledge provided here. I've been shooting as a hobby for many years
and would like to try wedding photography. I've taken the advice here and tried
to assist or second shoot with local photographers. I've had absolutely no luck
with anyone I've reached out to. In fact I've not even had a response. So here I
am offering up myself for free to anyone in the Connecticut area. I will travel,
I will shoot for free, I will assist. I am willing to do whatever it takes to
get some real world experience. I have shot several friends weddings in the
past. I have DJ'd at weddings. I understand the intricacies involved. I do have
my first wedding coming up in October and the B&G no full well my lack of
experience, but I have showed them some photos and they seemed to like what I
had to offer. I am doing their wedding for cost only, however I would love to
have practical experience before I do their wedding. Thank you for your time.
top loader and belt opinions needed

Hello,
I'm considering getting the belt and 2 toploaders from Lowepro and wanted some opinions on how they perform. I'll
have a 40d with a nifty fifty and a 30d with a Tamron 17-50 along with 2 580ex's. I'll have batteries and cf
cards as well. This is for seconding at a wedding and I want to have easy access to my equipment. I would love to
know what you folks think about this system and how it works for you.
Thank you,
Mark
