  1. What about if you bracket your shots and merge to a HDR image? Oh, but I can scan my bracketed film exposures and do the same thing in Photoshop. Yeah, yeah but I can stitch enough 6.3 mega pixel images together to rival 4x5. Oh, yeah I can also whip out my 4x5 camera, shoot multiple angles, scan and stitch them to rival Jesus. But what about Phase One or Better Light backs? Think of the turn around time as a pro. Yeah but I ENJOY developing 4x5 ortho under safelight. It's well, fun. Oh, nooooooooo! What will I do! From all of this B-I-T-C-you-know-whating I'm convinced I have to choose! I guess I will smash my Crown Graphics with a sledge then go tuck my DSLR in at night. Please. You are all limiting yourselves. Shoot what you have to for a job. Shoot what you enjoy for fun and end this already.
  2. Thanks for the feed back. I'm leaning toward the 1.4 lens. As for the 5d, I'll need to sell all my film gear for the cash. Jeez, I never thought I'd be that guy! It's a bit like the darkside. I got sucked in at work. I do a lot of Photoshop cs3 and indesign at work. Hopefully I will be able to get some used gear by January. A used 5d with battery grip and a 1.4 would be great for Christmas!
  3. I am strongly considering giving up 6x7 film and buying a full frame sensor slr from Canon. As I understand it, the 5d

is a full frame sensor at 12.8 megapixels. So the new Rebel at 12.2 MP is not? And why do they call the mark iii at

22 MP full frame? Is the sensor larger or are they just getting more MPs' in that 35mm sized sensor? As for my

glass is there a huge difference in perceived sharpness between the EF 50MM 1:1.2 L USM and the EF 50mm 1:1.4

USM to justify the higher price on the L. Please bare with this digital newb. I'm also new to the forum so hello!
