When you give away images for free, the images are not perceived as having any value. When the image is perceived as
having no or little value, the result of that might be that there is less or no respect for the photographer. I am afraid that
this is just the way things go. So it is better to set your price if a company asks permission to use/license your photo. All
the best to you.

I can definitely recommend Marsel van Oosten' s workshops. He runs an Iceland workshop in March. You can find it at

Canon 5DIII + 24-105mm f/4 = my walk around combo for short trips.
Of course I tend to carry a lot more gear, but this the essence when I am limited.

+1 for wetransfer.com

Ditto what Jeff said, Lightroom just follows the structure I have come up with. Plus the advantage of using virtual copies
containing different versions or files for different destinations, in casu clients or agencies or licenses, to me is a huge pro.

Thanks so much, you all confirmed my suspicions. It's good to have some critical notes on this kind of initiatives, I guess, because I really wonder who as a photographer would accept a proposal like this.
@Wayne, no, I am not related to Lady DW nor Lana T ;)

My Gitzo always goes into my checked in luggage as it is too large/heavy for hand luggage, since I take cameras and
lenses in the carry on hand luggage. Up until now I did not encounter any problems travelling in Europe, Africa and
central America, choosing reputable airline companies.

Good evening,
A couple of days ago, I received an email notice from One Eyeland, that 4 of my photos which are hosted on the site of One Eyeland (I have a non-premium account) are pre-selected for publishing in the next One Eyeland Book Vol3. Only if I want them published, I would have to pay 440 USD per photo. One Eyeland claims that this book is a very valuable tool "to promote the most talented photographers from the world over." And that "the Book is printed on par with world standards, sourcing the finest inks & paper." And "The Book is given to 500 advertising & creative agencies across the earth, free of cost".
I must admit that I am a rather sceptical person, and don' t know what exactly to expect, moreover since I am most oriented towards nature, travel and wildlife photography, and not so much towards advertising photography. I know good publicity is important and does not come cheap, but is this worth it ? I did some searches but could not find any reviews or comments or appreciation of this initiative.
Does anyone here on Photo.net have any experience with One Eyeland and participation in publication of the Books vol 1 or 2, and if so, how did that help in marketing your photobusiness ?
Your reaction would be greatly appreciated.

Nik software is great value, I could recommend it highly.
PS I have no conflict of interests here.

I second Wouter's thoughts on this. I think it is rather harsh light coming from the left which might have washed out the colors a bit. This again might have been adjusted to the photographer's taste in postprocessing.
