It's great! The technical photography work seems immaculate in my view, there's a real formula at work here for this type of shot which brings the content to life, in that manufactured way that's still utterly fantastic to look at.
In fact it's so beautiful it took me a while to even begin to think that it was a bit odd that she was holding two decorative silver objects, like a christmas tree ;-)
There's something to be said about why we like pictures of untouchable beautiful girls in the unaffordable outfits though I'm not sur eI have the answer myself. -
It's okay, but not to my taste. I have some issues with it, but I don't know how you are presenting it really, so you really don't have to agree!
a) It reminds me of a million vague postcards. I think that images have utterly saturated the world over the past 50 years and you'd be hard pushed to take a picture of a silhouette against a sunset (complete with hazy lines of mountains into the distance) which wasn't touching on a cliche.
b) having hit the cliche for me it really needs to overcome it somehow, and I'm not sure the only remaining device in the photograph, the figure, has enough beauty in this shape to be able to do that? Perhaps the outline of the face in profile would have helped? Or even balancing the image into a different (non-postcard) aspect ratio?
perhaps i'm just biased against postcard territory though :)

Okay - I'll cease worrying which section I should place it in :)
I think it's purpose in real life is to hide something, probably a bin, although it could just as easily hide a body!

Wow, what a stunning image, not only of a beautiful bird, but the whole colour set is just gorgeous.
If I needed a parrot pic in my life this would would be hard to turn down :)

This is one of a set of pictures i've been taking, collecting odd
foreground objects and shapes that make me feel a little odd, as if
the world may not be entirely real.
I'm not sure if it's what a lot of people would call fine art on here,
but I'm struggling for another category that would fit the whole set.
I've been taken them all in square format, using an old Bronica
camera, in black and white. Working in black and white gives me more
things to shoot, perhaps at the loss of the occasional bit of beauty.
It's also easier as the chemicals for development don't age as
quickly in the bottles under my sink. So it's partially convenience.
I take these pictures as a bit of private meditation, that is to say
that I don't feel compelled to share them widely, and shooting on film
helps maintain the laid back shooting approach. On the other hand
it's hard to resist the temptation to show them and any feedback would
help satisfy my itch for constant self improvement.
cheers!

This is fabulous. It's such a work of graphics with a hint of nostagia and sex at the same time. All horizontal bands and two little circles. And the colour! Bloody brilliant :)
