I've never been very confident with taking portraits, but this one and the

other similar one I've taken are the ones I'm most pleased with. Any

comments and critiques about how I could improve them would be gratefully

    received.

    Thanks in advance, Helen

more interested in comments about composition and lighting.

    Hi

Thanks for the comments - I'll certainly try the cropping Elizabeth suggests. I think it could be the improvement I was looking for.

    Warm Regards

Mum and Dad's "new" dog - 9 year old pointer / lab cross. Been doing

a bit of experimenting with black and white, so all thoughts on how

it's worked in this instance would be gratefully received. Thanks

This is my Mum. Not generally very good with portraits, but quite

pleased with this one. However, I know it could be improved - all

comments welcome with your thoughts. Thanks

  1. Hi John

Thank you so much for your considered critique of the photo - I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I live many miles away from this place - it really is a stunning place to visit. However, I did take lots of images of this particular group so I'll go back and revisit them and see what I can come up with.

    Kind regards Helen
