  1. This image was taken while on a early morning hike at Mount Saint

Helens at sunrise in early summer. This time of year can be a

wildflower treat with Indian paintbrush and penstemon carpeting the

ground. Thanks in advance for any feedback and comments.

  2. A classic scene in the Columbia River Gorge of Wahclella Falls. Many

waterfall compositions in the Gorge typically only allow you to show

it's immediate surroundings whereas this location gives you large open

landscape feel. I believe this is the first time I have processed or

posted a shot from here. I could be wrong yet regardless this is from

the archives taken four years ago on a quiet winter morning. The

greens may pop in Spring yet this is proof that the Gorge is lush and

    vibrant in any season.

  3. Thanks folks for the feedback. I really searched visually for a strong composition. Harry, I agree that it might need a slight bump in contrast. I was trying to balance it out without over doing it.

  4. A more intimate look at the Painted Hills area than most of my work

from here. It's hard to get scale from this image unless you have been

here. The distance is about 1/3 of a mile and the background hill

    rises a 100+ feet.

Great mood to this piece. I think it might have been better with less FG but I know you might not have been able to zoom in more. Thanks for your kind comment on my last post. Glad it brings back good memories. The NW is wet for a reason!

I never tire of images of this place. Sure hope to check it out someday. I might like a tad less polarization on the top left side but that is a minor nit for this nice piece.
