This shot was taken around 3:30, late afternoon sun provided the warm light. The mallard was lit up nicely by the sun and the background was in deep shade. Shooting close to wide-open and exposing for the mallard rendered the background almost black.

Thanks for all the comments so far. How would you have changed the composition so it doesn't look quite so "static"?

I'd appreciate comments/criticism on this image please. What would

Took this shot of a poor street urchin as he ran up to my car selling

some stuff in Bombay, India. He backed up and smiled as he realized

I wanted to take his picture. I probably should've used a little

fill flash, but like the spontaneous look I got. Comments?

A spur of the moment snapshot of my daughter just after she'd

finished eating. Would you frame it differently, how about the

exposure? Sunlight was coming in from behind her (camera right).
