One thing that just struck me about this image is the depth of field. Look at the sleeve -it's out of focus, yet the persons face is in focus... How can that be?? It must be an optical effect of the curved mirror surface in some way enhancing DOF in the reflection...

This spiral staircase is part of the "Quinta De La Regulara" gardens

I think this photo shows the meaning of DOF - Depth Of Field - Cant get enough of it...!

Is there any way I could crop this picture to improve?

 

I have tried various crops, it is pretty tight already...

Yes, I know its a little on the red side but I think it just adds to the joy of this photo...

Great photo, personally I would be tempted to shave a fraction more off the bottom so the cascading water framed the lower edge. Either way -fantastic.

No filter was used with this shot or any of my shots on the Fuji for that matter. Its just good old Fuji Velvia and a little curve enhancement in photoshop...

I took this picture into bright sunlight in mid afternoon and

overexposed slightly. Photoshop has been able to bring things back in

line a little bit. Foreground deliberatley blacked out to provide

silhouet effect of palm.

This one has been saved at 1024x768 and can be used as wallpaper if you like elephants...
