It's worked for me Andrew, I'm in the UK. If this camera had a small RAW I don't think I'd ever buy another camera... Until I did :)

Yes I know Michael, but if you take into account that you need to add at least 15% to the cost of anything you need to sell on Ebay to achieve your price then there might be cheaper options for you as a buyer?

-

When you take into account the cost of selling through ebay no wonder there are so very few deals. Scammers paradise if you try and sell through it, never again.

If you are in a communal space dining you should not be impeding on other people's experiences in any shape or form, isn't that just common sense an good manners?

Remember before cell phones when you would go to a gig and just before it was about to start a 7 foot giant would stand in front of you and you'd think "Oh man of all the places to stand you pick that spot"

Now it doesn't matter where you are because as soon as the music starts it's impossible to see the band with all the arms in the air holding phones, I'd like to see them banned there too.

Oh boy! - Seemed the problem was my colour space was sRGB in Photoshop, I am feeling shame as I type this, deep repentant shame.

I must have forgot to change it after the upgrade..

I think a lot of it comes down to the image, Julia. Nice straight trees will produce straight lines, there are a lot of cross branches in your picture which will result in having to push the process further than you might want to, just to achieve the straight line effect.

Dueling filters!

Ok it's on, but remember you will be in 8 bit with your wind filter ;-)

Phil I am talking about a completed PSD file that has been saved in PS to Lightroom but are not looking the same. I've noticed this before on a few occasions, it seems to be the blacks.

So switching from one program to the other they are not identical. No added adjustments in Lightroom.

-

Anybody else come across this? It's mainly in the shadows, I have recalibrated as I have read that switching to version 2 can work with the Colour Munki over 4 to achieve a uniform representation for both programs, bit that hasn't worked.

I have had to go back to PS and adjust the image to make it acceptable in Lightroom, very odd.

Any ideas?

Almost certainly not the motion blur filter.

So basically you are suggesting the same technique as mine Julie but more complicated than it needs to be?

If somebody has a picture of some trees and a path, I'll show you it's motion blur that can achieve this?

Generally speaking, zooms don't work well with TCs.

I know they can produce softer images, Shun but if they don't work well on zooms then what was their purpose?

Tom my first port of call would be to check where the focus point hit on the back of the camera, I too think the feathers look sharper. The birds head is tiny in that picture, quite easy to miss focus with it moving also.

-

I don't think this is a composite or a camera panning technique. Most likely he has used motion blur in Photoshop and then removed the effect via a mask where he doesn't want it applied, in this case the path.

That picture is fantastic, I really like it. It could so easily be a painting, it has an innocence to it that I like very much! - Pied Piper comes to mind.

photography does not "create", it simply records.

In it's very RAW state, yes it does.

Thanks Bill very kind of you, light was coming through the column supports that hold the rear of the Palace, he was standing underneath the covered walkway in the cloisters. So in a way, yes high windows without glass ;)

The guy was very polite Lex and understood if I didn't want them to use the picture. I consulted with my inner circle and it got a green light, I don't mind if it's credited as that can be beneficial in the long run, always a gamble.

I'm hoping that isn't you bundled up in Brad's picture, I know it's getting cold down in Texas?

Few weeks back I was at Hampton Court Palace in the UK shooting a model. The light wasn't great that day it was strong sunlight and I had exhausted most of the open shade areas in the grounds. As we were walking back through the cloisters I saw this man dressed up in period costume from Tudor times, he let me take his picture and this is what I got, it's natural light.

I was pleased with the result and sent the picture to the Palace, they have asked me if they can use it, they won't pay me but will give me full credits which I have agreed to. I'd actually like to do a series of them.

I don't think that's a good idea; how would your client read a RAW file?

As in the native size of the file for the D610, Rodeo not supplied as a Raw, unless they want to do their own editing now there's an idea? ;)

I'll check out the memory sticks, I don't really use them usually as I upload galleries to my site which I prefer to do for various reasons. Still looks like all the suggestions are for external delivery of images and not my usual method.

Dan I love the huge file sizes for my personal work, I welcome them, but not for weddings.

Thanks Ralph, I'd rather have your sandwich at the moment :)
