Nikon coolpix S51 natural lighting digitized in photoshop

Thanks Doug and Magdalena, I am so limited as far as camera and lighting that the only way to arrive at my vision is thru digital manipulation. I'm glad you like it. :)

I really feel this Image needs something, maybe less saturation in
some areas? I really don't know what it needs but all comments and
critiques welcomed.

Simply Beautiful I would love to hear how you arranged and got this shot it must have been difficult the image is exquisite!

I love the expression on her face. The action captured in the moment and the composition. The only thing I think I would add is that her skin tone is rather blotchy and it detracts from my vision I was first focused on seeing what was wrong with her skin when I should have been focusing on the beauty of the shot. Other than that I simply love it!

No I did not use reflectors but I will be investing in some very soon. I just started shooting again after years of not picking up a camera. I'm kicking myself in my head for getting rid of all of my old equipment. I've got the bug again and this time I'm never putting down my camera again. I will shoot with an oatmeal box and a pin hole if I have to. So far I've been shooting with a little nikon coolpix a little amature point and shoot with little control but as you said I'll get better with better equipment. It's just expensive and takes time. Anyway thanks again hun.

This is just what I need to here. I had major challenges working with this model and I have a tendancy to focus on faces and loose the details that in end result make the image professional. I did have problems with focusing it becomes very hard to control with the little nikon coolpix s51 I use there is very little control verses the professional cameras. I will be getting a nikon D100 at the end of this month! again thank you sooo much! for your critique.:)

The colors although captured beautifully is not the what captures me about the image. Technically it's perfect in my eyes but the look in the eyes is superb! The tell a beautiful tragic story. I want to know more.

I love the texture of the image. I think I would have lowered the contrast a bit more in the background only so that your subject showed a little more separation from the rest of the image. But I love the composition and the textural element to this image it reflects the reality in his face.

I welcome critiques and comments. I was sort of going for a gap type
image. This aspireing model was a little difficult to shoot as he is
actually 6'7 tall. It was done in natural lighting at the florida
hospital in orlando. As I don't have a studio I find opps where ever
I can and the lighting was great. Anyway I hope you can give me some
pointers.
Thank you.

All critiques and comments welcomed. I am just experimenting with
this type of photography as what I normally do are portraits.
