Hi Clayton - Thanks, much appreciated! I'm not concerned about any ratings, just prefer the critiques. Unfortunately, putting an image in for ratings does increase the viewing audience which is primarily why I put it there. At some point, one must realize that the rating system is flawed, this is a very subjective art form, and that each of us can get a pretty good idea of how an image stands up in quality and artistic merit when compared to all of the images out there.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
All the best, Harry

A great little piece of paradise from St. Lucia. Any comments or
suggestions welcome.

A windy day along Lago Argentino near El Calafate. This is a
frequent jump off point to Patagonian adventures. Of interest to me
is the natural reflection of the water colors off the underside of the
cloud.

Great abstract you created, and some of the best use of negative space I've seen in along time. Magnificent!

Some intense weather you've captured. the blue skies and yellows of the sandstone are a winning combo. The image does feel a little tilted to the left. Also, I noticed some vertical banding near the tallest tower that looks to be the result of post processing, which is a good thing because it can be corrected. I think this shot is worthy of a slight rework to make it even better.

A magical evening along the shoreline of Patagonia's Laguna Torre
in Argentina. With the lake to myself, I wondered why no one else
from the nearby campsite was checking out the evening colors and
appreciating the rare stillness of the lake. I'm still bewildered.

Dramatic shot of some intense weather. The difference in clarity between the sharp ridge and the peak adds addition interest to the image. My only suggestion might be to tighten up the comp by cropping off the top to above the main lenticular and some of the left to allow the ridge to help shape of a more or a pano. Keeping more of the left would keep the original proportions. There also seems to be some funky greens/magenta in the cloud that maybe de-sat or similar adjustment might correct. Possibly due to the small web size? Way cool.

Daniel - Thanks for the suggestions. I have incorporated them into a repost which should show shortly. Thanks again! Harry

A follow up to my earlier WaterWorld image from Patagonia's Torres
del Paine National Park. Impressions welcome.

I normally see colorful aspens with this sort of image - really like what you have done here. Processing looks very good, though the edges seem quite dark. I may be in the minority on that.

Makes me dizzy, glad I'm sitting! Fine shot. I'm on the fence regarding the OOF foreground, was this intentional or a byproduct of a long lens? I good opportunity for focal blending if that is in your processing bag of tricks.

Wonderfully balanced - the warmth of the image combined with the frosting is a fine contrast. Great sense of place. My only suggestion might by to increase contrast / selectively darken the shadows for more impact. The shadows look a little to open.

Los Cuernos during pre-dawn light in Patagonia's Torres del Paine
National Park, Chile. Suggestion, comments welcome.

Christal - Chile is a bit of a drive if you land in El Calafate, Argentina (which many do or take a bus). I visited Torres del Paine National Park and Los Glaciers National Park. There are many other areas to visit, but I tend to like the Argentina portion better. I liked the town of El Chelten in Argentina. Great base for hiking around Fitz Roy. Nothing like that available in Torres del Paine. Some good parks north of Fitz Roy too. If your are going that far, spend some extra time and see both, I say!

Tony - When the ground around you starts turning the color of the sky, you know you have some special light. I remember having that happen in the Sierras 1X, it was yellow instead of the red here. I wish I could adjust just the red channel when processing the RAW in ACR, but I haven't figured if it is possible. Maybe it is. Wilds light down there, and I doubt it is that unusual for the area.

While the Towers and Los Cuernos (the Horns) receive most of the
accolades in Torres del Paine National Park, the Valle del Frances
was the highlight for me of the W trek. It is a wild section of trail
along the Rio Frances (seen here), emptying into a magnificent
alpine basin surrounded by high peaks and glaciers. I waited out
rain and snow for this view as the storm cleared.

Thanks for the comments. I agree, the intense colors appeared in check on my camera's histogram but needed some adjustment during RAW conversion. I can see how the grasses may look like scratches or sensor debris in the small web versions. I'm thinking for larger prints it may appear as grasses and not be confusing to a viewer. I'll rethink cloning them out for sure if they cause more confusion than just a part of the water scene.
Thanks guys, Harry

Grat colorful abstract. Bentonite maybe? The subtle lighting shows off the nice textures, and the diagonal lines fit perfectly. No suggestions, just enjoying the view.

A crazy sunrise at the start of a 3 week adventure in Chilean
Patagonia. A crazy sunrise over the peaks at the eastern end of
Torres del Paine National Park. While the colors may seem a bit un-
natural and over saturated, they were indeed this vibrant. Must be
seen to be believed. Comments welcome.

Tony - I do the darker areas, especially on the back side of the Piton. The humidy haze prevented some crispness of the peaks, though clarity adjustment in RAW development helped. I prefer the FG rock a bit brighter, more like the original post. Thanks for the feedback.
