Thank you Rick. Yes, Kentmere 100 is capable of yielding very pleasant results. As Mike says, it is cheaper than FP4 up here. Also available in 24 Exp. suiting my level of activity which, does not justify the 100 ft. Rolls. In comparison with FP4+, it might be just a little less in both contrast & development response. -

Film Camera Week for November 13

For some reason I took out my old Zeiss Ikon 532/16 and loaded it with HP5+. Haven't used it for years and fouled up the complicated loading procedure, ruining the first 4 shots. Made matters worse by forgetting to re-set my exposure meter from 100 ISO thereby over-exposing by two stops. Old age and photography don't mix! The lens is a post-war 80/2.8 Opton Tessar with a registration number indicating it was made between 1946 & 1951. It has never performed well (sharpness & Contrast) in comparison with results I have seen from later models. I suspect it does not have the post-war improved coating. Jurgen has told me "there are Tessars and then there are Tessars". Anyway, here are a few mundane results after a little bit of PS "Help! Help". These images, from this 70+ years old lens, do suggest images of an earlier time. Developed in Pyro HD. SIDNEY HYDRO CLEAN (unreadable). FOR SALE. SURLY MERMAID. ON LAND. WAIMANGU. -
