If my film is overexposed because I, for example, dropped the negative on the
floor where it caught the light from under the door :(, what is a good way to
compensate for this when I'm actually printing the pictures? Ive noticed
through experimentation that when this happens, it's helpful to go down to
f5.6, 4 or lower instead of f8 which will give you a really middle grey affect
across the photo. Any ideas???

When is the appropriate situation to up the magenta when printing a photo? And
how can you gauge the use of magenta if you're a beginner? For example, I am
working on a photo with a black boot and a white cloth backdrop. I know the
use of the magenta is meant to bring out contrast. However, about 10 magenta
didn't really change the image and 20 just about whited the cloth out. Any
advice?
