Hi,

the more time pass the more I feel the need for a new flash to add to my

equipment...

Right now I have one 580 EX II: that's my only source of light.

I shoot almost everything: from landscapes to portraits in studio passing

through macros and still life.

I really move a lot, so I think I need nothing too big (and by saying this I

don't mean not powerful) and difficult to bring with me.

If I have to give one preference for this new flash I would say portraits and

studio photography.

I was wondering if buying another 580 EX II would be a good choice:

- Is it enough powerful to provide me a good light in studio (I already have one)

- Can I combine it with stative, umbrellas, softboxes etc!? Does this reduce to

much the real output of the flash?!

- Is it a good idea to trigger the flash all togheter with the ST-E2?! or should

I buy something better?! in case, what?!

- I was thinking that I could make a structure to combine the two 580 EX II to

create something similar to the Flash Twin Lite for macro fotography...could it

work?!

Hi,

I have a kind of crazy request...

...About a month, a month and a half ago I saw a topic where some very strange

image where discussed: they had a kind of HDR effect (but they were not), where

shoot in open space,like a garden,or something similar, and they were all

portraits of one,or more, people. I've never seen something like that, the light

was very strange: it looked like they had been illuminated from the front and

somewere else.

I remember there was a link to an external web site, but I cannot remember the

name of the photographer...

I also remember that other users commented by saying it was not a post

production effect but it was a light setup, something like a big soft box

illuminating the front of the subject and two, or more, light (not softbox) on

the side.

I know it's a very crary request but do you remember that topic? I'm getting

very stressed looking around for it, I almost review all the forums...

Just guess but please help me!
