You stopped that horse in it's tracks. I was wondering what the shutter speed used was and noticed the metadata was removed from the picture. It would be nice if you kept that information intact. I think the weaknesses of this photo lies in the exposure. The horse is highlighted well but the snow looks a little too grey. It needs to be exposed more to look like snow in the sun. There is also loss of detail in the blacks in the UL corner. This photo may look better with a little HDR work in something like photomatrix or even just the recovery slider in lightroom . Those people in the background and advertisements are very distracting. Maybe a shallower depth of field to blur them out more or a different angle to just eliminate them entirely. But I do like this photo and your portfolio.

I appreciate any comments or critiques on my image. I value your
feedback and would much appreciate any note you care to leave.
Thanks.
I placed this photo in Street because, in my opinion, Street doesn’t
need to be a city street. These animals were enormous and not being
accustomed to being around such animals I was glad there was a
picket fence between them and me. They were dossal enough though
and made for a good subject.

This was an interesting old character that I wish I took more pictures of.
I got this one though and was very pleased at how his organ really lit up
when I processed my RAW file with a little HDR. That’s a real hand
cranked organ that sounded very nice. He had to crank that thing pretty
fast which was giving him quite a workout. He kept on cranking though
for as long as I was there.

Thanks for viewing. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

This shot comes from a country museum, but the HDR makes it look so
much older. Tell me if you like it or not. Thanks.

Very nice! It's like a inscet macro and a bird shot in one. You can see the eye and little feet of the bug, Great!

This is a good shot but the cars on the right detract from the mood. Crop or edit them out and it will be very nice indeed.

This is a HDR of a Spider I found on my front porch. Let me know what
you think. Thanks.

This photo has great dynamic range and color. Very well done.

It's nice but I think you overdid the blue in the sky on the right side a bit.

The eye is drawn to that bead of water...it looks like there is something trapped inside it. Kind of thought provoking which is always good in a photo.

I like the color, and the sense of perspective...the sun and people look so far away yet you can still clearly make them out.

The one thing I notice is the lack of clear subject matter. Am I supposed to look at the cow or the buildings behind? There is a rule of 3rds that I always follow for landscapes. Cut the frame into 3rds and your subject should fall on one of the division lines between the sections. The cow is in the center of the right 3rd, move him to the right slightly and the viewer will know what to look at.

My first impression is Graduated ND filter; upside-down. I would expect the area around the sun to be brighter than the top of the picture. Doesn't quite seem natural to me. I would be interested to know if this type of filter was used. I like the composition in that there appears to be 2 species of trees; alternating and growing in size from left to right. (Also, is that walker wearing a fanny pack? :)
