1.
Agree 24MP is big enough. However, Leica staying with 24MP makes me thinking if this is due to Leica lens limitation. If that's true, then Leica fans, including myself, will have a gigantic burden to upgrade if Leica chooses larger sensor in the future. Any thoughts? I hope I am wrong.

 2.
I am flexible enough to take either 35 or 50 as standard lens for full frame. When I started Leica with M6, I acquired an 35, and the lens stays with M6 99% of time. When I got an M9, I decided to go with 50mm lens, and later on obtained an 28mm coupled with 50 from architecture and landscape to general purpose, such as street and travel. 28 is wide enough for me because I do not do much interior. 75 or longer requires extra efforts for focus so my combination is 28-35-50.

 3.
In my mind, I never doubt that Nikon would roll out Coolpix A or similar. It just matters when it will be given the popularity of Fuji X100, and new comer Sony RX1. However, it seems to me that Nikon introduced A prematurely with it's choice of equivalent 28mm lens and 2.8 aperture. While I am happy with prime lens selection, I would like to have a fast lens at least 2 if not 1.4. I agree the price will drop after the camera hits the market because this maybe a test of the market from Nikon. Personally, I will hold myself to wait for its' 2nd generation though I welcome Coolpix A. My 2 cents.

 4.
While I welcome Nikon latest Zoom Lens 70-200/4 AF-S VR, I will not budge because I primarily use prime lenses despite its' pricy tag. However, I want to question Nikon's game and credit for timing of the lens. Certainly Nikon and its management team are entitled for playing marketing for their full financial benefits. At the same time, they shall understand that their success are based on consumer's support and trust. To me, Nikon has hold to introduce this lens until the sale of their 2.8 version reaches to a full capacity. If they keep doing this kind of games, they could draw fire and turn away their fans. Ultimately it's Nikons' loss and others gain. My 2 cents.

 5.
First, 35 would be my choice if just one lens. I have a M6 TTL, 90% of time I use 35mm for Architecture, Landscape, Street, etc. In fact, I intend to stay with one lens 100%. Secondly, you can check Adorama. They have some decent used lenses for your selection. I agree that you should stay with Leica lens, not other brands - my personal taste in addition to glass quality and value.

 6.
If 600 and 800 are not upgrades, then my 2 cents is that you have to wait for Nikon to roll out next model that is in the same class of 700. I do not have 700. But if it fits you well, why not get second one. My interpretation from you question is that you are looking for a FX back up rather than upgrade.

 7.
I am a little surprised that nobody (from Leica users) is talking about Sony RX1 which is announced today. It's 24mp full frame with Zeiss f2 prime lens fixed on the body - the first of its kind for point and shoot camera. It looks a well built one. I like its' ISO capacity. But I want to see reviews and pictures before any actions. Anyway, the introduction of RX1 will bring on the competition, others will follow, and potentially bring down Leica price. What are your thoughts on RX1?

 8.
The technology of DSLR is at its bottle neck stage. I have tried D3s and liked the camera a lot. But given the price, size and depreciation factors, I passed on. At the same time, I wonder how Nikon and Canon can roll out a new model with big improvement. To me, the answer is no. With the introduction of V1 and J1 by Nikon, I can see they are changing the direction, and DSLR will soon be on the down hill track if not immediately.
