Can someone recommend a book on basic digital imaging for beginners.
I am particularly interested in learning about file and image size and how
pixel dimension and resolution are related to this. I am fairly new at this
and need to know such things as what file size to use when posting on the
internet and how to attain that file size without sacrificing image quality.
Also i would like to learn about size and resolution in printing and storing images
and the basics on scanning my old stuff ... for example scanning prints vs scanning
negatives and the recommendations for scanner settings on each of these. Thanks!
