  1. Thanks for the comment! The thing in the bottom right corner is actually another boat that is upside down on the shore... I have another shot with it not in it but i thought it went well in this picture.

    Glass

    Thank you for the comment!

There actually is a white piece of paper underneath the glass.. doesn't look like it though! I made an hdr out of it and made it B&W so i think the shadows and b&w made it dark. Glad to hear from you, and glad you like it!

nice composition and great shot!... but there are a few things that need improvement

the whole picture seems a bit out of focus. there is a ton of noise, maybe you used digital zoom (i suggest to never use digital zoom, it destroys the picture)? and there is a small bit of a tree trunk on the right bottom of the frame that needs cropping. there is also a lack of detail in the blacks (the tree trunk for example looks very dark) if this photo had all of those improvements it would great.

This is really cool! I don't think i have ever seen a shot like this.. at least so far. I wonder how hard and fast he smacked his head down into the water.. I would have liked to see more of the bird and have it be a little more in focus, but i imagine this must have been a very difficult shot to get as it is, so great job!

This is a very interesting photo..

The colors go great together- the dark color of the sky with the bare trees and rusty looking train bridge. The whole photo gives off that old rusty feel, and everything in this picture just... works together. Very original shot, thanks for posting!

  2. Hello.. i saw this and thought it was interesting.. it made me think of where that rope may have been, how old it is, what it was used for... the story behind it. and i like when photos do that.

although there are a few things that the photo needs to be improved..

there seems to be a haze throughout the whole picture.. and a sort of greenish tint in the color. there is also plenty of room to crop out sand and make the rope really stand out.

here i have attached a picture in which i touched on all of the above things-

i used a program made by google called Picasa2, which is a great basic photo editing program that is very easy to use, and it is free. it even has a one click button that instantly improves your photo. i highly suggest this program to make your pictures even better! this took me just a few min to edit..

Nice shot! great detail, and you caught the swan in a very interesting position.. The water is beautiful as well. I think i may like a little bit cropped off up top.. but it looks great as is. thanks

    Nice picture. Very interesting perspective.

I am not quite sure what is going on with the colors in this photo; what is supposed to have color and what isn't, but it sure is interesting.

I would like to see the colors of the butterfly, I'm sure it's beautiful, judging by looks of it. I would also like to see the picture in full color as well, it looks like it would be nice to see the colors of the butterfly, grass, and flowers in contrast with the gray sky (i am assuming, because it is raining).

    Thanks for posting.

I like how you had only the red she was wearing in color.. Very original. also, the position of which she is standing, and the direction she is looking.

But to improve.. The photo seems like it is a little bit out of focus. She is also taking up a large portion of the picture, and a little more background or scenery would be nice. Also, she is right in the middle of the picture. if she was positioned off to the left of the photo (i think left because of the direction she is leaning), i think it would improve it. the hand and leg that are located off to the left side of the frame are a little distracting, and cropping it out may improve as well (i feel it would have been better to not have them there at all, because of the shadow they are casting). the person in the background walking is a tad distracting as well, but i understand it may not have been possible to wait for her to leave the frame at that moment.

Very nice... What a beautiful view. I agree with the above comment.. A little more of the mountain would be nice to see to get more of that "spill" effect, but i understand that is not always possible based on the situation. As it is, this is a great photo. Thanks for posting.
