I can't explain why exactly, but this picture seems alive to me. I can almost see her chest moving in breathing. If I can say anything, I find the half of her navel piercing distracting, I wished it was full or not showed at all. -
Wonderful, this goes right in my favourites folder. There is a great contrast and yet a abalance between the steadiness fo her body and the flow of the river. Beauty through time. -

John, while I do like the Art Déco style in architecture, I had no idea how it was realized in sculpture. Your message made me search some example, and I think you are right. I got it by chance, I admit :) I think I'll retry some shooting in this style with a more thoughtful approach. Thanks. -

I chose a strong desaturation instead of a pure b/w conversion. I think it gives a more unsettling look.
