1.
Thank you for your responses, greatly appreciated! Yes they do look similar but also agree it's difficult to see and compare.
Today I decided to also email a Canon Technical Support Representative before I lay down $4k for a body, (I own a 5D Mark II and rent the 6D for night shots). He only wrote that the difference (regarding noise) is the 6D runs the Digic 5+ processor and the 5DS/R runs the Dual Digic 6 processor. He also wrote they "consider the 5DS series cameras to be better at higher ISOs than the EOS 6D".
Nice to read that but I still would like to hear from other photographers from this forum (in the field) especially if they have used both cameras at high ISO.

 2.
I normally do my night shots (Milky Way, etc.) with the 6D at around ISO 3200. Does anyone know how the new 5Ds or 5Dsr compare with the 6D at 3200 - same, better, or not as good? All I've read is that the new cameras don't go higher than 6400 (but I'm really not interested in much higher than 3200.)

 3.
I am looking for a place to stay in Torres Del Paine - good location so I can start shooting early morning by the road within close proximity of decent lodging. I don't need much, prefer $100-150/night.
Then traveling to El Chalten (via rent-a-car), also looking for a recommendation for lodging around $125/night or less.
Thank you in advance!
