don't concern yourself with the rating ... this is a good street pix. if i was asked to revisit the moment i would refocus the photo on the billboard ... just to see what it would look like ... so i would have taken both .. and you may have ... there are lots of blinds who rate photos in anonymity in disguise.

i like this photo. this reminds me of the old restored photo of the family you have. i am very partial to the natural light pouring into the house and you capture it so well

i love this photo. if you don't mind me saying ... i would cut out the foreground dirt ... to enhance the tip of the windmill in reflection. a very nice photo.

the mood captured by this photo is depressing ... it is a damn good pix ... i would cut the sky a litte and the eyes follow the road straight up to the tree and the house. the sky punctuates the mood ( ... but could use a little less so as to avoid drowning of the effects)

...i intended to comment ... and then i read other comments ... i feel even more obliged to comment ... i have a very high appreciation for this photo. this photo without sandals would not be the same it is obvious this is a modern photo but it is nice to see those sandals from the past and today all in disarray ... so un-japanese. also, they are sitting on rubber plate next to the steel guard that must be intended to cover running water (looking at right hand side of the lady's legs). also, these people are not exactly those of japanese middle class. the house says it and her kimono speaks ... i appreciate this photo very much.. it is just so nice. a wonderful capture!
