Wonderfull image and that is an understatement!! Must be even more stunning in real "print".
Did you use a 6x12 roll back or 4x5 inch flat film?
Regards,
Eugenio

Wonderful and original image.

Mooie compositie. De kleuren (geel tegenover blauw) voegen daar nog iets aan toe. De kubus woningen van Piet Blom komen zo mooi tot hun recht.

Original. The reflection in the ice, the see through....really show you have brilliant eye to see a great picture. I like the colours.

An amazing aspect of the photo - perhaps even the most amazing -, is the hand under her skirt. The rest of the group looks in a distance or the other way. This makes it a funny photograph to me. It makes a smile on my face. They did not seem to notice the photographer either, for you took it with a 50 mm 1.4 as I found out. This makes it a remarkable photograph in my view.
I Wish I could take such pictures. Maybe one day this will happen. If not ....well, coincidently I happen to have a Nikon FT too and perhaps I can always hit a nail in the wall with it (they are built like a tank).
The fact that you had to make several shots, to come up with this one, is a slight comfort to me. Tony Dummett is still human.

Hi Tony, The image sure looked inviting. Still looks that way.
No problem with cold here in Holland ... although a drop of 25 degrees within an hour is not something to take light hearted. It is the quicksand that would frighten me and freeze me to death.
Thanks for your information.

You must have had the stitching in mind when you took the 4 pictures. Was there an overlap between the pictures and did you use special software for the stitching.
Looking at the picture, I feel as if I am walking along that beach....A picture that makes my day.

I like the dark part of the upper left corner, that leads me to the center of the picture. And therefore I prefer it much more than the later revised version in your folder.

Great picture, that made my day just by looking at it.

Great picture. That is 10/10 in my own universe http://www1.tip.nl/~t683203/watches/SMILEY.GIF

Hi Jorge,
The cars are Dutch. I took the pictures on a misty day at a Dutch Classic Car gathering at Palace "Het Loo", near the Dutch city of Apeldoorn.

Great picture. Wonderful!

Superb!
Two 10s if you ask me, as with many photographs by Tony. Amazing.

I like this photograph very much

The picture works for me and I like it.

Simply superb.

Great composition, very beautiful

I like it and I learn from this picture. Perhaps it is because I like this sort of "landscapes", another form of nature photography.
And besides, looking at all the discussion, I think it is succesfull in attracting an audience, wether they like it or not.

Brilliant picture.

It is a great picture from a great portofolio.
I wish I had such an eye like Rainer has.
-
I like this shot a lot.
And besides that, I think that -years from now- these pictures will form a great testimony of time.
As a car enthusiast I am reminded of Klemantaski. I hope Darron continues taking these shots...

I think it is a great picture. Very original in the way the wings of the owl are to the rest of the body, makes it aesthetic too.
I personally don't care if someone would blame me for giving it very high marks. One is free here to what one thinks. And I just think this picture is great.

A great photograph.
In front of me is a book on the photographic collection of the J.P. Getty Museum. The use of the scanner reminds me of the early photographs in that book.
I like the other works in the portofolio as well.
Better than just standing around...

I like the framing of the moment, i.e. the postion of the couple in the picture and the nice contrast between the couple and the rest waiting for the boat. I am only intruiged what the guy with the glasses on the right is doing.
Anyway an imazing shot, especially since I have come to realize the viewfinder of the Hasselblad X-pan (or its cousin the Fujifilm TX-1, that I actually tried) is rather awkward (well at least to me).
