Does that count as intelligent commentary? The 'Wow factor' removes any other consideration in my mind... I can hear the National Geographic theme music playing every time I scroll up to look at this again.

This is a simply brilliant documentary portrait. The detail in the image is stunning and contributes heavily to its classic 'feel'. I simply love the delicate way he is holding the broken screen in his right hand...

Can I offer a critique? No. I think this photo can hold its own with any such image ever published.

My favourite in the set - she shows wonderful, somewhat enigmatic, emotion and when that is combined with the rather flat, low-contrast lighting it works very well. 

It almost has the feel of a documentary image.

This is a wonderful still life! Wonderful light and contrast, especially when you consider it was a water-edge shot. Great work!

If I had to actually critique you image (and I am working very hard to find anything to critique here)... perhaps I might have cloned out the two nails at the very bottom of the image... It's nit picking though... it is a wonderful image.

Hmmm I picked 'travel' as the category, but I was really going for

more of a Film Noir feeling...
